The company operates a highly automated manufacturing facility and is seeking a hands-on finance leader to partner closely with plant operations while ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, and data-driven decision making.

Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Plant Controller to oversee all financial operations for its manufacturing facility while serving as a key business partner to plant leadership and corporate finance. This highly visible role is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, manufacturing cost accounting, inventory controls, KPI development, and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate is an analytical, hands-on manufacturing finance professional with deep costing expertise who enjoys working closely with operations to improve profitability and plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all accounting and financial operations for the manufacturing plant
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls, financial policies, and accounting procedures
  • Perform detailed manufacturing cost analysis to identify savings opportunities and improve inventory accuracy
  • Develop and monitor key financial metrics, profitability, and operational KPIs
  • Evaluate plant transactions and ensure compliance with corporate accounting standards
  • Support capital expenditure planning and financial modeling
  • Partner with plant leadership to improve operational and financial performance
  • Assist with internal and external audits

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong background in manufacturing cost accounting and inventory analysis
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience using ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Power BI
  • Proven ability to analyze financial data and translate insights into operational improvements
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across finance and operations
  • Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary of $95,000–$100,000, with flexibility for exceptional candidates
  • 30% Quarterly Incentive Plan (QIP) based on company and individual performance
