Position Overview:

Our client is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the regional distribution facility. This leadership role is responsible for directing warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, and freight management while driving performance, productivity, and profitability. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, highly disciplined operations professional who can provide strong leadership, enforce procedural compliance, and mentor a team of 14-18 operations staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct day-to-day warehouse, distribution, and logistics operations

• Manage and develop an operations team of 14-18 personnel

• Maintain multi-million-dollar inventory levels through effective receiving, stock rotation, and cycle counts

• Control operational costs and manage P&L performance against budgets

• Enforce procedural compliance from pick-ticket to signed proof-of-delivery

• Ensure consistent safety training, OSHA compliance, and quality control

• Oversee inbound/outbound freight, routing, and delivery schedules

• Partner with sales to ensure high customer satisfaction and reliable service

Ideal Candidate:

• 5+ years of operational leadership experience in the building products or wholesale distribution industry

• Demonstrated P&L and expense management capabilities

• Strong proficiency with WMS and ERP inventory systems

• Uncompromising integrity, high energy, and exceptional team-building skills

• Resilient work ethic with the ability to handle demanding schedules during peak busy seasons

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base salary of $75,000 to $90,000, with total all-in compensation potential aligned with market rates
