Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to support financial planning, manufacturing operations, and strategic business initiatives through advanced financial analysis and data-driven insights. This role serves as a key business partner across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales, helping leadership make informed decisions by developing financial models, analyzing manufacturing costs, monitoring business performance, and identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with manufacturing finance experience and enjoys solving complex business problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop financial models, budgets, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support business planning and decision making
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, product costing, inventory, and operational performance to identify opportunities for increased profitability
  • Monitor financial and operational KPIs while providing actionable recommendations to leadership
  • Prepare financial reports, dashboards, business cases, and executive presentations
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales to support strategic initiatives and business performance
  • Extract, validate, and analyze data from SAP and other business systems to ensure reporting accuracy
  • Improve reporting processes through automation and continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Provide financial analysis and decision support for strategic and operational projects

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, business analysis, FP&A, cost accounting, or a similar analytical role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, product costing, inventory, and financial reporting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including financial modeling, Pivot Tables, Power Query, and advanced formulas
  • Experience with Power BI and SAP (or similar ERP systems)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across multiple business functions
  • Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail
